ALMO HARDWOOD AB, SWEDEN
The company started in 1950 in the small town of Österbymo, in southern Östergötland, by Åke Blom, the current owner’s father. From the beginning, the name was Blom’s Saw. In the 1960s, a focus of production on hardwood products began. Then in the form of unedged, sawn timber that was largely sold to local furniture factories. During the 1990s, a production of hardwood products was established in Latvia and in connection with that, the name was changed to Almo Hardwood AB. The business has since developed into production and sale of hardwood products in Latvia and trade of hardwood in Sweden.


ALMO HARDWOOD AS, LATVIA
Almo Hardwood AS was established in the late 90s in Aluksne, in northeastern Latvia. This area has a good raw material base for processing of hardwood. Today, the business consists of a modern sawmill specializing in hardwood. We have a specially adapted saw line, a modern sorting line, kilns and a heating plant. We produce sawn/planed wood, cut elements, planed components and edge glued panels.
